About Us, Campaign 2004, Drowsy Driving, Sleep Deprivation, Teen Driving, Shift Workers, Narcolepsy, Obstructive Sleep Apnea, Restless Legs, Full Disclaimer

We are a group of people living in a beautiful, little town in the heart of Amish Country in Northern Indiana.
Our town, Goshen, population 25000, is located 30 miles southeast of Notre Damme University, South Bend, Indiana.

Yatin J. Patel, MD, Founder (sounds old, but I am not!) and Medical Director, Center for Sleep Studies, Goshen General Hospital.

In the picture, I am explaining the findings of overnight sleep study to a patient of mine while Laura Graber looks on.
(I could not find my picture at the rest area. I was too busy talking to the drivers and the reporters!)
Please feel free to contact me at md@md4lungs.com for questions or comments. I am never too busy to answer sleep related questions !

Laura Graber, the turkey girl in the picture, is our administrative director. She is trying to train this future driver to be a safe and alert driver down the road.
Laura can be reached at lgraber@goshenhealth.com. It is my turn, this year, to wear the turkey costume!

Jennifer Hayes is the marketing director at the hospital. Her expertise has helped us get this cause out to the public through media participation.(She is very busy, but too nice to say NO when we ask for her help!)

Jennifer can be reached at jhayes@goshenhealth.com.

Todd Smeltzer (in scrubs), and Ladonna are our sleep technicians and our tough soldiers in this battle against drowsiness.

Annette Webb, Curtis Gierhern and others are our patient volunteers.

Our special thanks to Clete Yoder (VP, Operations), and Jim Dague (CEO) for supporting this project. (How can they say NO to such an important project?)
They deal with financial profits, "margins" and things like that; but when they heard about our bottom line (that of saving lives), they, absolutely, could not resist.
